This Years Facilitators

Colleen Reid
Colleen is the founder and creatrix of WILD WELLNESS and SHE IS WILD FEST, a women’s festival held in both BC and Alberta. SHE IS WILD FEST was created so that womxn have a place to re-connect with ceremony and sacred play, to build their tribe of sisters and to re-member their wild essence through the expansive workshops.
Colleen holds monthly wild woman gatherings in BC as well as weekend retreats throughout the year in various locations around the province. She is a lifelong student of the shamanic arts and will be holding her first MEDICINE WHEEL in 2023. She has trained with Christine Selda of the Shamanic Yoga Institute in Squamish, the FSS and has studied nordic shamanism, with the intention to honour and connect with her ancestors and blood lineage. Her guides and her council are her main teachers, working with them daily to build their relationship.
Her work’s intention is to wake the wild within and break open the cages that keep so many confined. She stands for liberation and freedom from societal pressures, guiding those who come to her workshops and events back home to themselves. Her medicine is to help you remember who you are and to know that it is enough.
Colleen is most at home in the wildest of places, with only nature surrounding her. Her most empowering moment was running her first ultra-marathon, which took her on a 125km trail run through the northern Alberta mountains.
She is a mother to two wild hearts and a wild rescue dog. She is a partner to a loving and supportive heart-centred man.

Kim Wuraftic
I am a Calgary based yoga instructor whose areas of focus are around mindful movement that supports a deep understanding of our physical and energetic bodies. I began my yoga practice in 2013 when a severe back injury brought me to critical alignment therapy, discovering a connection to my body I didn’t know existed. Furthermore, the journey beyond the self and journey of self-realization has been a passion of mine from a very young age, and I love guiding others on their journey to reclaiming their power. I have an arts degree from The University of Calgary and have training in Yin and Hatha Yoga. I also work with children with disabilities and strongly believe that movement, in any and all capacities, has the ability to heal and bring people together.
